#YouSaidWeDid – Local Priority update for Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth

Over the last month, local officers in Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth have been focusing on the issues the community highlighted during our most recent survey.

Members of the public across Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth, asked their local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) officers to focus on improving feelings of safety within local green spaces.

Over the last month, officers in Bishop’s Stortford have carried out regular patrols in Grange Paddocks, engaging with park users and community groups.

The local team are also working with our partners at the East Herts Council to carry out a visual audit and there are plans to reduce overhanging trees, scrubs and ensuring that pathways are exposed to more natural light.

There are also plans to introduce some signage and rescue equipment near to the river.

There is A Feelings of Safety Survey been placed inside the leisure centre, and we would love to hear from the community about how safe they feel in this area.

In Sawbridgeworth, local officers have carried out Walk and Talk sessions within Pishiobury Park and carried out engagements with the local community.

There are more events happening in the coming weeks, no registration is required, you just need to turn up.

While maintaining a focus on local policing priorities, officers continue to respond to day-to-day incidents, force-wide priorities and any emerging issues requiring immediate attention.
